“Literary Illustrated Sunday Newspaper” so read the front page of the very first editions of the Tavola rotonda (Round Table), the cultural review founded by Ferdinando Bideri in 1891.
It used the collaboration of prestigious intellectuals, such as Gabriele D’Annunzio, Giovanni Pascoli and Matilde Serao. As time went on, the Tavola rotonda dedicated a great deal of room to music becoming an indispensable point of reference for contemporary authors and composers.
A promoter of musical competitions for Piedigrotta festivals and numerous editorial initiatives, the paper published and launched the success of hundreds of songs, whilst also continuing to develop the critical slant that characterized its founding.
